Private and Group Music Lessons In Appleton, WI

| Private Music Lessons

Weekly music private lessons are a great way to receive uninterrupted one-on-one instruction. Classes are offered at half-hour and full-hour time lengths. Many of our students have specific pieces that they are learning for music performances, auditions, and competitions. Private lessons give the students the opportunity to focus on the piece for an extended length of time.

Another reason why students may prefer private lessons is that it allows them to work on a variety of skills or instruments during a single visit. An example would be taking a half-hour voice lesson followed by a half hour guitar or ukulele lesson.

| Group Music Lessons

Group music lessons are a great way to start or continue your development as a musician while reducing the cost of weekly lessons. Lessons are a half-hour long and can be taken in groups of 2, 3, or 4. We do our best to match groups by age, skill-level, musical interests, and availability. This is a nice option for individuals, families, and friends to reduce the expense of private lessons while maintaining the highest level of instruction inside and out of the classroom. In addition to being a great value, it’s also a great way to make new friends and learn from other musicians that are at a similar skill level.

| Lesson Recording and Lesson Retention

Students and music teachers have a very limited amount of one-on-one time during their weekly lesson. Because of these time constraints, many students simply do not have ability to soak in all of the information and techniques that are taught in each lesson.

Did you know that the average student forgets 30-70% of what they learned within just a few hours of their lesson? On top of that, each day that passes by without practice, the student will lose another 50% of what’s left. Needless to say, the last thing a parent or student wants is to be paying for weekly lessons (plus drive time and gas), only to spend most of their lesson time relearning old content from the previous week.

A free option available to all of our local students is to have a portion of their lesson recorded. This allows students to review all of the techniques learned in their weekly lesson at a time when they are most receptive to learning. And for students who want to expand on what they’ve learned during their classroom time, they also have access our always-growing library of instructional videos via our YouTube channel.

This combination truly creates an opportunity for full lesson-retention and puts students in a position where they are able to progress at a much faster rate compared to traditional music lessons.
